This short was originally created for my communication assignment, in which we were asked to use visual language to represent ourselves in videos. I took this opportunity to independently bring a complete idea of mine to life without any compromise.

As the only videographer on set:

  • I was confident and clear with my instructions. 
  • I was careful with the camera movements and clever with the variety of shoots. 

As a co-editor in post-production:

  • I was effective in integrating the scattered footage into a complete draft video.
  • I was dedicated and patient during further editing process when different opinions were involved.  

We earned over 4K views on this video.

  • Took the initiative turning a school work into an independent portfolio piece.
  • Created an original comedy reflecting technology use in students’ daily life.
  • Successfully scheduled multiple friends-actor and actress in various setting during pre-exam season. 
  • Gained adequate practices and hands-on experience in almost every aspect of film making.

I earned an A- in this course at the end.

This experience laid a solid foundation to my future pursuing in photography and videography.
